The Academy of Real Commerce conducts in person seminars to help young people find a pathway to financial resilience with lessons learned from real life not just from text books.
We run interactive lessons about property, share markets, saving and borrowing and even cryptocurrency. We discuss gambling and warn people away from things which are too good to be true. We look how people get started in careers and business ownership and we shine a light on superannuation and the tax system.
Our Why
About 45% of Australians have less than a week’s pay on hand. They are days away from a potential crisis.
Young people are aware of the Australian dream of property ownership. Many have abandoned this dream but do not know any other pathway to financial resilience.
Too many people do not have peers or family members who can lead by example in the world of money.
We want to share what we have learned from our mentors and from our own life experiences.
